Meet the family behind DB Dens. I'm your host, Brooke, and my husband Doug, son Simon and daughter Annie are behind the scenes continuously supporting and making the drive up to Fairplay with me often. In 2018, we started traveling up to Park County in early December to cut down our Christmas tree. It’s become one of our favorite traditions and is how our love for the area began. 
 

I spent a 10-year career in the field of early education and autism and resigned as director of the school in February, 2022.  Doug owns a construction business, and between having Simon in 2018, both managing small businesses during Covid, and having Annie in 2020, life was... a LOT! I needed to have more flexibility for my family, but still wanted to have something of my own.

That's where the Dens concept was dreamt up, not only for me to use my skill set and passion in a totally new way, but create places where guests can unwind, take a breath, and reconnect; something Doug and I prioritize in our marriage and family! 
 

Doug and I have always loved finding boutique stays in our travels, and I am a huge fan of the 'little things" and customer service that make a getaway feel extra special. We hope you'll feel the passion and heart we've put into the Dens. Our guests are our priority, and we want you to leave the Dens having made wonderful memories that will keep you returning for years to come.
